Brand Identity |

Dart Studio

Dart Studio is a self-owned venture that I developed as both a personal brand and an opportunity to practice and refine my skills in brand identity design. Initially conceived as a platform to sell graphic prints, the project quickly evolved into an interdisciplinary practice that combines my passion for visual communication with a more comprehensive approach to design.

Overview

The process began by creating a cohesive visual identity that could represent Dart Studio’s creative vision. This included the design of the logo, color palette, typography, and overall aesthetic guidelines. Every element of the brand was intentionally crafted to reflect the studio’s modern, artistic, and experimental nature.

Dart is a wordplay consisting of the words "digital art". Furthermore, the word “dart” brings the idea of movement, going forward, towards a direction, representing something sharp, direct, free, and directed in a line at the same time stable, yet fragile. The first sketches included bright colors, using organic shapes that represent the basic shapes used in art and design.

Key Components

  • Logo Design: The logo is minimal yet impactful, symbolizing creativity and innovation. It serves as the visual anchor of the brand.
  • Typography and Color Palette: A custom typeface and a bold, contrasting color scheme were chosen to convey a sense of modernity and artistic expression.
  • Brand Strategy: I worked on defining the brand voice, ensuring consistency across both print and digital media, while establishing Dart Studio’s identity as a forward-thinking and multi-disciplinary design hub.

CHALLENGE

The biggest challenge here was to combine organic shapes with the idea of moving forward. Eventually, a choice had to be made, given the fact that I wanted to include basic shapes, pastel colors and graphic elements.

Solution

The final designs included a wordmark created out of rounded organic shapes that were also used to create graphic elements for the brand identity.
