The North Sea Jazz poster was designed as part of an academic elective, in collaboration with the iconic North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam. The elective gave students the exciting opportunity to compete in a poster design contest, where one winner would be chosen from a top 10 selection. The final 10 posters were exhibited at the festival itself, providing visibility and recognition in a professional setting.
The project required designing a poster that captured the essence of the North Sea Jazz festival, known for its rich musical heritage and dynamic atmosphere. Through a process of experimentation and iteration, the design evolved, balancing creative expression with the festival’s identity.
This project allowed me to combine technical skills and artistic vision in a competitive setting, with the added benefit of seeing the final design featured at a major cultural event.
