Printed Publication

Throughout the project, I engaged in a back-and-forth design process, continuously making adjustments based on constructive critique and test runs. Each iteration brought new insights, ultimately leading to informed design decisions that shaped the book’s final form.

This project allowed me to explore the complexities of editorial design and provided hands-on experience in producing a publication for print, deepening their understanding of both the creative and technical aspects of book design.

Key Components

Design Process: A significant part of the project involved experimenting with layout and typography, while testing various design options to ensure optimal readability and aesthetic coherence.
Feedback & Iteration: Regular feedback sessions helped refine the design, with each round of adjustments improving the overall structure, visual flow, and presentation of the book.
Test Runs: Multiple test prints were carried out, enabling practical evaluation of the design and informing critical choices regarding materials, format, and composition.

Solution

The main challenge of the project was to create a printed publication that would visually align with the story it was created for.

Result

Continuously testing the design by printing each iteration and asking for feedback from professionals and teachers helped realize the final outcome. Through this way of working, I managed to change the design ideas, the execution of the cover design, typography, colors and images.
